Owner Chris Whitehead DJ Head-Ake is a native of Atlanta, Ga. Growing up in the Atlanta, he developed an appreciation for diverse musical influences. After graduating from high school, Chris enrolled at Alabama State University then transferred and graduated from Auburn University. While an undergraduate, he was responsible for producing many events from Greeks, SGA, and other oncampus organization. Chris helped to organize many parties, pageants, and community forums. DJ Head-Ake began performing as a DJ for private parties and weddings in 2001, while residing in Montgomery, Al. In 2007, he relocated to Atlanta, and the response has been amazing. Chris loves to see people happy and having a great time through music.

D.J. Extraordinaire, Chris "D.J. Head-Ake" Whitehead. Was the Master of his domain as he Rocked the House at the Collier " Fessiwig" Christmas Holiday Extravaganza. On Saturday Dec 18, 2010. The event started at 9:00pm with Christmas music and light jazz. It soon became the ultimate party. It was scheduled to end at 1:00am but was still going strong until early Sunday morning. He finally had to shut it down at 3:30am amid protests from all that were in attendance. Great Job Chris you made it happen.

Atlanta DJ Online was the featured entertainment for the 2010 West Atlanta Medical Call Group Christmas Party. The Doctor's and Staff member in attendance danced until they dropped !!! The floor remained packed as the group performed the Casper slide, Cupid shuffle, and the newest line dance "The Wobble". This party rocked and it was the D.J, that made it an event.

Chris did an awesome job as the "Sound Man" and DJ for the Hodges wedding. By being PROFESSIONAL, working with QUALITY equipment, showing up ON TIME and delivering EXACTLY what we had previously discussed, he was a hit and we, as well as all the guests, enjoyed all of the selections that this "Big Time DJ" offered. From neo soul, oldies and even a few jazz selections, Chris had guests of all ages on their feet and "strutting their stuff." You pretty much have most of the vendors chosen for your wedding, but now onto the wedding DJ pricing. So how much does a wedding DJ cost? You will see many different wedding DJ prices. So, keep these points in mind and you will find the right one.
Cheap Wedding DJ Prices These prices will usually be in the ranges of $75 per hour or less. Many of these wedding DJ’s are part-time hobbyists. They might have no idea how to coordinate and deliver what you want at your wedding. Just call these companies and you will notice a huge difference with their customer service skills. This might be a risky deal because they might show up with low grade equipment (if they even show up at all). There is a possibility that you can spend $200-$400 on your wedding DJ and be happy, but you have to understand what cheap wedding DJ prices really mean.

Average Wedding DJ Pricing So, your biggest criteria were your budget, and you went way overboard. So, instead you and your fiancé decided to hire someone to “Just Play Music.” Do you want the good news or bad news first? Okay straight to the good news, you just saved a couple of hundred bucks! I said earlier that there is a difference between a full-time company and part-time hobbyist. A full-time company depends on your referrals to generate future leads and business. This means that they are 110% dedicated to your wedding reception. The wedding DJ cost needs be looked at with their references. Ask for recent clients’ names, phone numbers, and e-mails. When I say recent I mean 6 months or less when available. Any reputable company will be able to give you this information.

Expensive Wedding DJ Prices These people may charge anywhere from $1500-$4500. There may be added value, such as an additional DJ/wedding coordinator, lighting, staging, dancers, or props. Other times, this price is determined by an owner with an over inflated ego. If their wedding DJ cost is expensive, then this does not mean that they have instant credibility. This price might be marked up since they do not have enough word of mouth referrals yet. You should not have to take out a second mortgage to pay for your wedding DJ cost.
