I have been in front of the camera and or microphone for most of my life. My mother ran a Dance studio and so I was in parades and entertaining for the old folks homes at 6. I showed horses most of my youth, which put me in the public eye even further. In school I lettererd in Forensics, going to state every year. I used to be a featured guest with the drive at 5 on KFIZ radio here in Fond du lac when Ron Harvey was still with us. (rest his soul) talking about the Historic Octagon House, where I have been a guide for the past 27 years! I was featured 2 years ago on the History Channel for a production called 'secret passages' about the home as well (what a rush eh?). As time went on, my son came along, and I quit all the outside activities to watch him grow.... but he is now a healthy 7 year old, and I am back! I purchased all top of the line audio, and went back on the road with my own DJ service and Karaoke show, and here I am! I carry over 20 thousand song titles with me from 1920 to present and about 4 thousand in the karaoke line. Music is my passion, and I love to entertain! During the week I work full time in a Bridal Salon (www.marlenesheirlooms.com) and it keeps me up to date on what wedding couples want! Call me for your next event! I would love to hear from you!

How to Book the Very Best in Party Entertainment
Finding the best in Party or Wedding is easy if you follow these points.
Whether it’s your wedding or a relative’s birthday, Bar Mitzvah, Quinceanera, graduation, anniversary, house warming or it’s simply the middle of the holiday season, there’s always a good reason to throw a party, and the trick to throwing a great party is to book the right entertainment. Here are some terrific tips to help you book the very best entertainment for your next party:
Tip #1 – Know What You Are Looking For - What type of event will you be hosting? How big is your event space? Will there be a dance floor or stage? Will this be a quiet, more sophisticated affair or a lively, disco style affair? How many guests will be in attendance? What languages will they speak? What cultural differences will they have? Will you have games, contests, karaoke, slideshow or video presentations, or even a photo booth? Carefully consider as much information about the nature of your event and the guests you are inviting and draw up as thorough a list of what you will need as possible.
Tip #2 – Be Honest About What You Can Afford – Taking into account the entire list of things you’re looking for, draw up an entertainment budget. If you are unsure how much each of the services you’re looking for might cost, simply conduct a bit of online research and try to determine a ballpark estimate of each item on your list.
Tip #3 – Seek Out a Talented Professional DJ – Why a DJ over a live band? Because they can deliver most everything you need for a fraction of the cost of hiring a live band and renting from separate business for all of your extras like uplighting or photo booths. Begin your search online by Googling reputable talent agencies that specialize in promoting mobile DJs in your town. Look for agencies with professional looking websites, that have been in business the longest as they are more likely to represent the most well-respected, highly sought after DJs working today. You will also want to make sure the website is designed in a manner that makes it quick and easy for you to narrow your search by date, location and price point so you‘ll have a general idea of what you can expect to spend on the services you require.
Tip #4 – Select at Least Two Candidates to Meet for an Interview – Once you’ve found a couple of promising DJs that can deliver the services you need at a price point that fits your budget, arrange to meet them in person. Meeting them in person will allow you to better gauge their personality and expertise. Plus, you can determine that they are in fact able to fulfill all of your needs at an affordable price. Ask for a quote and make sure they provide you with a list of past clients so you can call them for references.
Party planning is stressful enough on its own. Don’t let booking your entertainment add to your burden. Follow these tips and you’re guaranteed to book the very best in party entertainment!
