Founded in 1995, M78 Productions built an exceptional reputation for providing “turn-key” DJ/Remix services for academic, corporate, and private clients throughout Southwest Indiana, Western Kentucky, and Southern Illinois. We developed our company by intertwining honest business practices with creative event ideas, in addition to providing experienced, professional entertainers with great attitudes.
While attending college in Southeast Indiana and operating the company in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio, James Sherer, proprietor, diversified the company to incorporate nightclubs. While living and working in D.C. for the Recording Industry Association, James developed skills in project management and event planning to compliment the artistic and creative nature of DJ/Remix work.
Now in Nashville, M78 Productions continues to use the business knowledge of event production to consult, manage and perform with corporate, elegant and private events throughout the Middle Tennessee area. As a fully licensed and insured company, we give fabulous attention-to-detail, while using state-of-the-art equipment and a huge song catalog.

1. Personality – Within a few short minutes, you should be able to gage whether or not the DJ has a personality you can work well with. Are they affable? Upbeat? Witty? Humorous? Do they sustain good eye contact and speak clearly? Do they make you feel at ease? Do they seem genuinely interested in your wedding reception and eager to learn as much about you and your guests as possible? 4. Adaptability – You want a DJ that will listen to your needs, make note of all of your requests, and offer up ideas of their own that they feel will enhance the overall entertainment value. Contacting past clients and asking them if the DJ was able to adapt quickly to the crowd and the energy in the room will help you analyze this quality further.
5. Special Skills – Do a large number of your guests speak a language other than English? If so, hiring a bilingual DJ might be a wise decision.
