BIOGRAPHY: You have entered the world of The Almighty Insane Unknown!, DJ C.I.A. a.ka. DJ Whitelightning
I do clubs, mobile sounds, weddings, corporate events, radio mix shows, scratching in studio recording sessions,
TV, parties, you name it! Whether turntables (Technics SL 1200 MK2`s) or CD Decks (Pioneer CDJ 1000`s),
Vinyl or CD, I can do long slow blends/mixes and can scratch and cut with the quickness and the slickness with
my hands,feet, belly, elbows, and yes...my mouth! (and other appendages and household utensils).
Interesting places I have DJ’d at: A barn; a farmhouse with goats, chickens and rabbits running around me as I
played (my first gig in rural upstate NY); a boxing ring that Mike Tyson used to train in at the
New Bed-Stuy/Crown Heights boxing Center; a party in an apartment in Washington Heights next door to a
flourishing crack den with crackheads actually asking for my business card as though they were going to hire me
(who knows, maybe they would have); a playground basketball court in Soundview, Bronx in the mid-1980’s;
MTV, the New Music Seminar (in which I put my ba--s on the cross fader as I cut 2 records back and forth; the
DMC battle; the Club Traxx; many a hole in the wall club, bar and house party from Crown Heights, Brooklyn
to The Boogie Down Bronx, and Manhattan; an abandoned ski lodge in which M-80 fireworks were being lit
off under and around the Altec-Lansing speakers; a party called Cooley High Academy for VJ Ralph
McDaniels with the FOI as security; Various radio stations, Catering Halls, Clubs, Colleges; a frat house kitchen
