Dr. G has performed at weddings, private parties, as well as the Myrtle Beach Area's largest corporate events for over 20 years. His audiences have included: President Ford, Senator Hollings, Governor Campbell, international model, Cheryl Tiggs, the Gatlin Brothers, and "Sausage King" recording artist, Jimmy Dean.
Dr. G is totally committed to the "DJ Business" everyday. When not performing, he spends hours on end fine-tuning every aspect of his show, which includes staying well-versed and completely up to date in all music genres. Employing the high-tech, state-of-the-art Mini Disc format as well as MP3 computer technology enables Dr. G to "load and fire" his music in the least amount of time and with the most convenience and accuracy. This frees him up to better interact and entertain, two aspects of his presentation for which he is best known.
Dr. G, referred to as the area's "Dancing Disc Jockey," helped "write the book" on creating fun as a DJ Party Host, and along with his enthusiasm, his repertoire of interactive dance routines, line dance instruction, and party games appears to be never-ending. Folks have so much fun when he performs, he was recently credited as responsible for three time-share sales while entertaining during the "activities day" at a well-known interval ownership resort in the heart of Myrtle Beach.
In addition to music-mixing and fun-making, Dr. G has devoted years setting up sound systems to meet the specific requirements of the crowd and the particular layout of the room. In order to enhance everyone's enjoyment, he takes extra care and spends extra time (and money) to assure his customers get the best sound quality possible. That's why in his set up and sound-checking phase, he is often observed hours before an engagement adjusting the distance, placement and height of speakers around the playing area. He is proud to pay attention to the finest detail, even down to selecting the most suitable color of effects lighting to match the room's decor.
Dr. G will go the extra mile to assure that your presentation is tailor-made to meet your specifications. With Dr. G, you're hiring 100% involvement and 100% care that your event is remembered fondly for years to come.

Wedding DJ Costs
Wedding DJ pricing. So, how much does a wedding DJ cost?
You pretty much have most of the vendors chosen for your wedding, but now onto the wedding DJ pricing. So how much does a wedding DJ cost? You will see many different wedding DJ prices. So, keep these points in mind and you will find the right one.
Cheap Wedding DJ Prices These prices will usually be in the ranges of $75 per hour or less. Many of these wedding DJ’s are part-time hobbyists. They might have no idea how to coordinate and deliver what you want at your wedding. Just call these companies and you will notice a huge difference with their customer service skills. This might be a risky deal because they might show up with low grade equipment (if they even show up at all). There is a possibility that you can spend $200-$400 on your wedding DJ and be happy, but you have to understand what cheap wedding DJ prices really mean.
At 800DJ, our recommendation: Never hire a wedding DJ that costs less than your veggie tray
Average Wedding DJ Pricing So, your biggest criteria were your budget, and you went way overboard. So, instead you and your fiancé decided to hire someone to “Just Play Music.” Do you want the good news or bad news first? Okay straight to the good news, you just saved a couple of hundred bucks! Unfortunately, your decision might cost you much more down the road. This category of wedding DJ’s is priced all over the place. Usually many are larger wedding DJ companies that subcontract 15-25 wedding DJ’s every weekend. They improve their profit margin this way (more DJ’s=smaller profit margin) to support advertisements and overhead. There are many good DJ’s that are subcontracted by these companies. However, they might be so big that you might not even know who your wedding DJ will be until the week of.
I said earlier that there is a difference between a full-time company and part-time hobbyist. A full-time company depends on your referrals to generate future leads and business. This means that they are 110% dedicated to your wedding reception. The wedding DJ cost needs be looked at with their references. Ask for recent clients’ names, phone numbers, and e-mails. When I say recent I mean 6 months or less when available. Any reputable company will be able to give you this information.
At 800DJ, our recommendation: Let the buyer beware
Expensive Wedding DJ Prices These people may charge anywhere from $1500-$4500. There may be added value, such as an additional DJ/wedding coordinator, lighting, staging, dancers, or props. Other times, this price is determined by an owner with an over inflated ego. If their wedding DJ cost is expensive, then this does not mean that they have instant credibility. This price might be marked up since they do not have enough word of mouth referrals yet. You should not have to take out a second mortgage to pay for your wedding DJ cost.
At 800DJ, our recommendation: Get everything in writing, and question anything that might be overkill
How Much Does a Wedding DJ Cost So, how much does a wedding DJ cost? This depends on how comfortable you are with the lighting, experience, equipment, music, and fun options. You should try unique things because your wedding is far from ordinary. This does not mean you need to break the bank with wedding DJ prices, but see what options are really worth the cost. The typical wedding DJ cost can vary from $450-$1200, and be dependant upon the amount of time your event is and miles of travel for the DJ. In the short term the wedding DJ price will be a factor in your budget, and in the long term 80% of the success of your wedding is based on the entertainment. If you want to have a great time, you will interview multiple companies.
At 800DJ, our recommendation: Stay away from the cheapest, don’t go with the most expensive and do not hire anyone that is simply average.
